Ape Labs devices with the addition "Plus" can be updated directly via smartphone using the IOS or Android Ape Labs app! The addition "Plus" can be found on the type plate of the lamp (devices from 2023).Devices from 2013 onwards can be updated with software updates in conjunction with CONNECT (WAPP) and the Ape Labs APP. Some older models can only be updated by Ape Labs. Please contact us for more information.We produce and develop sustainably.

Note: New software features for the Ape Labs Ecosystem are released free of charge via the Ape Labs smartphone app. The changelog can be found under “iOS & Android App Updates for CONNECT (WAPP)”.
Backup lamp control without remote control, radio is turned off
- enter mode: Press and hold power button for 8 seconds (The old way into the bootloader is now used for standalone mode)
- leave mode: Press and hold power button for 2 seconds (Battery devices will also be turned off)
- use mode: Short press power button to switch through program presets (only static colors)

LED strobe timing
Enable/Disable via APP (More->Service mode settings), Setting is saved
Disabled: LED PWM Frequency is set to default 500Hz
Enabled: Use higher LED PWM Frequency of 3.9kHz
Pairing between CONNECT and Lamps (also Remote Controls could be paired)

We regularly publish updates to the app.
To be able to use new features with the update, please activate the automatic update of the Ape Labs app in the settings of your smartphone.
When updates are available, we send push notifications via the app.
If an update is available for one of your lights, you will find an up arrow behind the respective device in the device list in the app.
Control lights in service mode:
- Lamp Pairing (Enable/Delete pairing)
- Set Battery level indicator (On/Off)
- Flicker-Free Mode (On/Off)
- Reset lamp settings (Reset)
- Exit Service Mode
