The IP protection class is expressed with two digits. The first describes the protection against foreign bodies such as insects, which cannot penetrate the lamp. The second digit describes the protection against water. If the garden light is permanently outdoors, the first digit should be a 6 for dustproof and the second a 5 for protection against water jets!
